Privacy Policy

Tipp is designed to work without an account. This policy explains what stays on your device, what our service providers may process, and the controls available to you.

Information stored on your device

Ordinary game progress, settings, scores and game history are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to a Tipp server.
Removing the app or using “Reset progress” in Settings may delete this local data.

Leaderboard and ranked challenges

If you use ranked play, Tipp stores a random public discriminator, an optional display name, ranked scores and private challenge-attempt state in Cloudflare D1. The app keeps a random access token in secure device storage; the server stores only its hash.
Deleting your leaderboard identity removes its public name and published scores. Private challenge eligibility may be retained for the active challenge to prevent replay and abuse. It is not public or used for advertising.
Apple App Attest or Google Play Integrity may process device and app-integrity signals before ranked access is granted.

Optional product analytics

If “Share anonymous usage data” is enabled in Settings, Tipp uses PostHog Cloud EU to understand app usage and improve the game.
You can disable analytics at any time in Settings. Read the PostHog Privacy Notice for details.
•
Events may include app opens, selected language, completed games, hint use, settings changes, app version and device platform.
•
Tipp does not send guessed words, game history, your name, email address or precise location to PostHog.
•
If you explicitly report an invalid word, Tipp sends the displayed solution and round details, but never your guesses.
•
PostHog may process an anonymous device identifier and IP address when receiving events.

Advertising and consent

Tipp uses Google AdMob. Google and advertising partners may process IP address, device or advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics to deliver, measure and protect ads.
Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform asks for consent before ads are requested. You can revisit this choice under “Ad privacy options” in Settings where available.
Read how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Sharing, retention and security

Tipp does not sell personal information. Data is shared only with the providers described above when their feature is enabled or used. Those providers apply their own retention and security practices.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, but we limit the information Tipp sends and avoid collecting account details.

Children

Tipp is a general-audience word game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect account information from children. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information through a service used by Tipp.
